Apple unveils new Final Cut Sudio 2

LAS VEGAS--Apple on Sunday introduced Final Cut Studio 2, its high-end video-editing software, and unveiled Final Cut Server, designed to help broadcasters manage post production.

As Apple's software continues to gain influence over how feature films and broadcast television shows are edited, the company's showcase at the National Association of Broadcasters convention here was filled to capacity on Sunday.

The new server, along with 10 concurrent licenses, will go on sale sometime this summer for $999. Those wishing to buy a server with unlimited licensing will pay $1,999.

Final Cut Studio, also due to be released this summer, will run $1,299 or $499 for an upgrade.

Apple received applause when demonstrating the upgrades to Final Cut Pro. Apple now allows for the editing of different video formats at the same time, the removal of unwanted camera movements, and speeds up the process for dialogue replacement.

Doomed to a Life of Mediocrity

On the great deal of the American public : Have we been doomed to a life of mediocrity within the dinosaur mind ? Has our gift of advancement become sterile to the point of no restoration ? As of now, I have been reading CRN magazine, it has been a source of writing as have others and topics that I subscribe to by Google & Yahoo alerts. The gap between the rich and the poor is growing wider as I write and what will I do about it. I refuse to accept a fate of being doomed to a life of mediocrity for I do not believe in fate or luck. This being a beginning..
